Greetings my fellow hunters, this post will be cover the 2nd portion about talisman explaining how it works and how to actually equip it in order to achieve the skill.

I believed that most of us had reached level 40 and begun on your HR journey. One of the key features that was unlocked when reaching level 40 would be the felyne exploration. Felyne exploration is considered to be super important for each and every one of us because the reward that we get by completing it are bags (varied from 1~3) which gives us talismans. For those who are new to mh, talismans have armour skills in them (at random every time you open the bag) and we are able to equip 1 talisman at any one time. If used correctly, talisman could even unlock one/two more armour skills which you do not have the chance to unlock. (Eg if you have a 8points in attack and are unable to slot in anymore jewels into your armour, a +2 attack talisman is here to save your day! Equipping it allows you to obtain attack up (s)!
There are 5 rarities of talisman starting from the most common to the most rare:
兵士护石= soldier talisman
斗士护石= fighter talisman
骑士护石= knight talisman
女王护石= queen talisman
龙之护石= dragon talisman

You may be wondering what their differences are. The answer is that different rarity has different maximum armour skill points it can reach + every increase in points per enhance on the talisman is different. Below is an attached chart of all the armour skill you can encounter when you open your talisman bag.

The first column of the image will be the armour skills while the 2nd to 6th column are the different rarities of talisman you can get from the bag. At the first row of the image (below the names of the talisman), you can see 技能数量 which means the maximum points you can get for that particular talisman. The numbers below each talisman will be the maximum amount of points you can enhance till for each armour skills (different armour skills have different maximum points). For eg, the first column attack armour skill can reach a maximum points of 3 for soldier talisman and a whooping 10points for dragon talisman (thats a free attack up (s) if you do not even have any points on attack at all!!!)
Some may encounter talisman with an armour skill plus a ??????? below the armour skill. It means that this talisman has an additional hidden armour skill which you have a chance to unlock every time you enhance your talisman (meaning you can unlock it at your first try of enhancing or won’t unlock even at your 100th try, it's all about luck...) Example of additional stats talisman.

Now you have learnt about talisman, I shall move on to the next burning questions that you guys will have.

Enhancing talisman
I believed that in other mh series, talisman cannot be enhanced and the amount of points is already fixed when you got hold of it. In mho, you are able to enhance your talisman to gain more points.
First, talk to the cat beside the blacksmith and clicked on the 4th option. You will then be brought to the talisman enhancing section.

Materials needed to enhance the talisman can be obtained by disenchanting unwanted talisman. Talk to the same cat where you enhance the talisman and click on the 3rd option this time round. The higher the rarity, the more dusts (material needed to enhance talisman) you will get. Note: Using soul bound dusts to enhance talisman will turn your talisman from tradeable to soul bound!! Take note when enhancing, especially if you are planning to trade the talisman away.

Further information on talisman
I have used 2 types of talismans (left=dragon, right=queen) as example.

In the dragon talisman, the first skill is razor sharp +3. From the chart above, the maximum points of razor sharp I can obtain from a dragon talisman is +5. Since dragon talisman can have a range of +-2 when enhanced, this dragon is considered as the best talisman for razor sharp (3+2=5) However, if the base points were to be 1, the max I can obtain from enhancing is only 3. This means that, a +1 base stats razor sharp dragon talisman can never be enhanced to a +5 razor sharp dragon talisman. In order to get the max possible stats for razor sharp (5), you will need a +3 or +4 base razor sharp. For the queen’s talisman, I have a base stat of +2 for status attack. From the chart, the max stat for status attack is +4. Queen talisman has a range of +-1/2 when enhanced. Note: According to many players and my experiences, the chance of queen/knight talisman enhancing a variance of 2 is almost zero. Thus, we should always assume that queen/knight talisman range is +-1. This means that the maximum point of the queen talisman will be +3 status attack and minimum point will be +1 status attack.

To add on regarding the hidden stats, it is important to note that if the hidden stats is a negative stats there will not be any variance no matter how many times you enhanced it (iirc). One thing for sure is that if the stats is positive, it still follows the rule of enhancing variance depending on which talisman you are using.

Some of you might also notice the texts (being boxed) in the left image and wonder what are they. In order to activate the skills in talisman, you have to enhance your talisman according to the number shown (for the dragon talisman, you will need 10 enhancement before you can activate the skill razor sharp while you need to enhance 6 times to activate the skill status attack for the queen talisman) The red box shows the total number of times you have enhanced for that particular talisman so that you can keep track of the number of times you have enhanced.

That's all for now, Happy Hunting!!

Greetings my fellow Hunters who plays Monster Hunter Online. Today’s guide will be catered to those who are wondering how to kill the latest 12 Man Raid against Shen Gaoren.

As all of you might know, Tencent just recently introduce the 12 Man Raid against Shen Gaoren and people are wondering how to fight against it. You are give 99 lives and 9 free cat revives before you start consuming your own cat tickets. It is possible to do it without consuming any cat tickets speaking from experience. Before we proceed into the gameplay. There are certain things we need to take note of. The weapons that are mostly recommended and the types of party that are highly recommended. For blademasters, unless you are using a Hammer or Greatsword, I strongly advise to get the ESP (Weapon won't bounce off the monster) skill while fighting against Shen Gaoren. Other than that weapons with Fire/Lightning element are strong against him as those are his two weaknesses. As for the type of party that is recommended to fight against him, I strongly suggest at least 2-3 Hunting Horn users, and out of those Hunting Horn users, 1 of them should have the quake resist skill as Shen Gaoren's stomp will cause you to lose balance if you do not have quake resist. Why Hunting Horn you might ask? Very simple, Hunting Horn is the alpha weapon when fighting against Shen Gaoren as you are able to flinch him and make him fall. Your other party members can be a different variety of weapons. Next up would be Shen Gaoren's move list. Shen Gaoren has a couple of move list. 3 of which are able to instantly 1 hit KO you if your armour defense is not above 100. The 1st one hit KO move is when his back (Lao Shan Long's face) spits out water in a 360 degree motion. The 2nd KO move is when you flinch him and he drops down on the ground, or can happen when he decides to slam the ground even without flinching him and the last KO move concerns you if you are standing on the bridge and firing cannon balls at him. The last KO move is when Shen Gaoren raises his claws and try to smash the bridge. So be careful when you are up there. Besides this 1 hit KO moves, Shen Gaoren also has another attack where he spits Acid balls from his back which will summon a noxious cloud of acid. Anyone standing in it will receive damage overtime. So we have talk about what party you should go for as well as elements and also his move list, we will now talk about the different areas in the map and what you are suppose to do.

Above is a map reference of how Shen Gaoren will move. Area 1 > Area 2 > Area 3. During the start of the fight, I highly recommend you do not try to take him on in Area 1 due to how congested it is. But instead, head over there to collect the mines (Same picture as shock Trap) and then proceed to Area 2. That is more or less what you are suppose to do in Area 1.

We will now proceed to Area 2. In Area 2 when you enter, you will notice that there are hemitaurs lying around the area. DO NOT KILL THEM. The reason I emphasize not to kill them is because you want them to actually hit you so that you can start gaining your Special Attack Bar (F Skill). So at least when you are up against Shen Gaoren you can deal a huge ton of damage. By right, you are suppose to transfer your Special Attack Buff to your Hunting Horn users (By pressing X), but apparently we have tried it and it doesn't work (Might be a bug). Also in Area 2, there are cannons situated along the path of how Shen Gaoren will walk. The cannons are located on top and you must find a way to climb it. AT ALL TIMES ONLY 2 PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE UP THERE. There are only 2 cannons and please do not waste the cannonballs. Only use it when you see Shen Gaoren. Also in Area 2, you will find barrel bombs lying around. Only use it when Shen Gaoren is in Area 2. So we have covered the 3 different types of tools that will be able to damage Shen Gaoren, 1. The trap you took from Area 1, 2. The Cannonballs, 3. The Barrel Bombs. Shen Gaoren takes around 10 minutes to walk over into Area 2. The moment he reaches Area 2 is the most crucial portion where you try to deal as much damage to him and flinch him before he reaches Area 3. It is possible to kill him in Area 2, I've done it before. So, when he walks in, start laying down the mines you took from Area 1, plant it below his legs, you will suddenly see his legs turning red, this is the part where you can deal a lot of damage to his legs as it is weak. Continue laying the traps and repeating the same process. After everyone has use their mines, gather the barrel bombs and again plant it near his legs it will have the same effect as the mines. Again repeat the process. While all this is happening, the two people who are controlling the cannon should try to fire the cannonballs on his back. You might be wondering, "his leg is red but he keeps moving and it is difficult to hit him." This is the time where Hunting Horn plays the most important role. As I said above, HH users are able to flinch him and make him drop to the ground. So meaning once his legs turn red, it is the best time to flinch him. HH users are advise to stack and co-ordinate on who has ulti and is going to flinch him. One way we came up with was to type 1 and 2. 1 being: I am going to flinch him, those under him please back out. 2 being: Shen Gaoren is successfully flinch and the next HH can get ready to flinch him again. So what if we do not have bombs or mines anymore? HH users are still advise to flinch him down, when he is down, head towards his face and near his mouth and chin area, you are able to hit it without bouncing off. When he stands up, go back and return to focusing on one leg and damaging it. Can we break his back for achievement points? Yes you can but you can only break his back when he reaches Area 3. So if you want to break it, have a rough gauge on when to stop your attacks while he is walking in Area 2.

Finally we reach Area 3, the castle walls. Along the castle walls are spikes which are also known as dragonators. USE THIS ONLY WHEN HE IS CLIMBING THE WALLS. You are able to gather cannonballs and Harpoon bullets which are located along the castle walls. The only reason you want him to reach Area 3 is because you want to break his back. During this phase, HH users still try to flinch him down while the rest starts focusing on the back by hitting it or using the cannonballs/harpoon bullets to fire at it. Once the horn on his back breaks, it means that you have successfully destroyed his back and then proceed on to kill him.

That is it for the guide if you do have any questions, do feel free to drop me and email at mh0singapore@gmail.com

Happy Hunting~!

 Happy Hunting!
Hello there to all my members of SG★Hunters, today's guide is something different. This guide is for those people who are interested in breaking the parts of Estrellian 星龙 and Akura Vashimu 尾晶蝎.

To break the parts of Estrellian, you must understand the different phases he has. He has 3 different phases.

Phase 1

Phase 2

Phase 3

During this 3 phases, his attack and defense will greatly increase. During his 1st phase, this is the only opportunity you will ever get to break his head as well as chip his tail. If you are aiming for this too happen, this is the only chance you will ever get because during phase 2 and 3, you will not be able to do that. The next question you might ask is, why chip his tail and not cut it off? Because you will not be able to cut it off during the 1st phase, you MUST chip his tail, so that when he reaches the 3rd phase, you will be able to cut it off
(You can only cut it off during the 3rd phase.) Don't be confuse with breaking his head. Its 2 different process.  For his back, wings and claws, they are all breakable at all phases. The approx time you have to do all the required objectives of breaking his head and chipping his tail is around 5 minutes. The moment he reaches phase 2, you have lost your chance. A tip for those hunting Elder Dragon Blood (Break his head, you'll get it in the rewards) and Estrellian's tail, try to make him fall asleep and let your member who is preferably a Great Sword user do the work. Estrellian can only be flash and put to sleep, traps and status weapons don't work.

Now we will move on to Akura Vashimu, its a little more complicated process, but once you get the hang of it, its easy. Who is Akura Vashimu?

This is Akura Vashimu. The scorpion which dwells in the desert. You would most probably face him when you are doing your HR Elite quest. You might be wondering, why is my damage always grey and not orange. I will explain why. You see his crystals on both his hands, head and his tail? There is a process in which you are able to deal higher damage than you currently do. Firstly, you must break the crystals on both his hands and there are 2 phases for both the hands and the head. During the 1st phase, you will remove crystals and during the 2nd phase, you will cut off that portion. Why can't I just break off and leave it as it is? Because Akura is able to heal it. Take note though, he only heals his left hand. My advice is start with his right, followed by his left and then his head. His head also has the same exact 2 phases. After doing all of this Akura will flip on his back. This is your ONLY golden opportunity to cut off his tail. (My advise is get the range weapon users to start gunning his tail the moment you start fighting him in order to build up damage) After severing off his tail, Akura will reveal his weakest point, the place where you cut off his tail, its this reddish part. This is the moment you get to rekt him easily.

Happy Hunting!

**List To Be Updated for Gold ★ and 5 Stars (Silver & Gold)**
Greeting my fellow hunters. At this point of time, most of us should be level 25 and above. This guide will aid you further in the new town and help you out just in case you are lost.

[Level 25, a new chapter begins]

Congratulations on levelling to 25! Getting to 25 begins a new chapter reason being the story quests now brings you from Milard Village (starting village) to Mezeporta (new town!!) There are also a few new features unlocked when you reach 25~

I shall briefly introduce the areas in Mezeporta.

I will touch on the new features unlocked in Mezeporta.
Royal hunting ground: Have not unlocked yet, shall update when I have unlocked it.

Jewel Merchant: Ever wondered where to craft skills jewel? Here is the place selling recipes to craft skills jewel. However, there’s only 6 recipes listed in the shop and will refresh a new set at 3am daily(do check them out everyday!). Higher skills jewel can be bought by collecting exchange tickets (obtain from completing quests from the NPC outside the Auction house at level 40)

Luminous Moon Forest: Last location for story quest
Hot air balloon: Tired of walking to and fro from milard village to Mezeporta? You can buy a ticket (costing 1k silver) to instantly travel to either place!

Arena: New features unlocked when you reach 25. There are 10 stages every round and completing all 10 stages within the required time will give you a good amount of silver and stones for exchanging/upgrading necklaces. Limited to 2 times per day
Auction House: Your best trading platform unlocked at level 25. You can trade both materials/items in there and also trade gold for hunting points(same function as cash but with limited features) and vice versa.

Harbor: Place to do felyne exploration quests (level 40 features)

Mentor system

Once you reach level 25, you will realise that the bounty board has an additional tab (登记教官等待匹配). This means that you can register as an acting mentor and hunt with lower level players (random match, random monsters and random location). The great thing about this is that you do not consume any hunting ticket while being a mentor and you get to receive a mentor bag for completing it with the low level players! (Limit to 3 times per day). Below is an attached image of what rewards you get from the mentor bag.

Greeting my fellow hunters, today we will be looking at the new town which is unlock at a later stage. For all those confuse on the new layout of the map, the picture below will tell you all the different type of vendors and how you can locate them.

Happy Hunting!
Greeting yet again my fellow hunters, I know some of you are eager to know what are the translation for the armour perks and what are the materials in English. Fret not, we have a list we specially prepared for you guys telling you the armour set advantages as well as disadvantages. The list is yet to be completed due to the lock content because of our levels. Do not worry, we will be updating it constantly till the end game. Hopefully this will help u more.

Here's a picture of a King Size Shogun Cenataur XD

Happy Hunting!
Greeting once again my fellow hunters, today we will be talking about the in game currency which I know many players are questioning and wondering why are there so many different types of currency being offered in Monster Hunter Online. The guide below will further explain into detail.

I shall explain about the types of currencies, their purposes and how to earn them (in RED) in MHO.

From top to bottom based on the image above:
  1.  Hunting Tickets – Every runs in MHO (except for story quests) consumes one hunting ticket. [ 10 hunting tickets will be given daily during reset at 3am GMT+8 and 20 weekly tickets will be given weekly during Thursday 3am GMT+8]
  2. Pokke Points – People who played other MH series should know this term. This is also known as farm points and you can use them to exchange stuffs from the old man outside your farm. [ You can earn pokke points by completing daily quests given by the old man (twice per day), earn them through gathering during hunts (there’s a chance you will gather items beginning with the name 精算, right click those items and they will be converted to pokke points) and also by gathering at your friends’ farm daily (limit to 10 times per day, each gathering yields 25 pokke points(Picture shown below))

  3. Guild Contribution Points – These points can be exchanged from guild hall merchant for gems, costume (durational) or basic items such as paintballs, cold/hot drinks and antidote [You can earn guild contribution points by completing daily guild quests (Picture shown below)]

  4. Time Attack Hunting Ticket (Should be this name XD) – You can use them to exchange for armor spheres, weapon spheres, costumes and also high grade jewel exchange ticket. [Time attack hunting ticket can be obtained by participating time attack hunts and also rewarded at the end of the event, every Sunday 11pm GMT+8, if your team manages to make it into the ranking board]
  5. Gold – The currency used for trading, be it normal trading or trading from auction house. You can also use it to exchange for hunting coin (see no8) through the auction house. It is also possible to mail gold to other players. [Gold can be earned from doing bounty missions, story quests, certain side quests, selling items to the auction house or to players, daily guild quests, events rewards or converting your cash points (see no7) into gold via the auction house]
  6. Silver – Silver is used for purchasing supplies from NPC, crafting equipment (both players and felyne’s), enhancing equipment and also awakening of equipment. Generally whenever there’s a transaction with any NPC, you will be using silver to transact. When you have depleted your silver, any further transaction would decrease your gold reserve. Silver is not allowed to be used for trading with players or trading in the auction house. It is also not possible to mail silver to other players. [Silver can be obtained from many ways. Quests, bounty missions, daily guild and farm quests, arena, and many more.]
  7. Cash points – Used for purchasing of cash shop items including buffs potions, expansion bag, costumes, vip packages etc. Cash points can also be converted to gold by purchasing gold from players via the auction house. [Top up and you will get cash points! Do note that when you top up, it’s cash points and not hunting coins]
  8. Hunting Coins – Same features as cash points but works in a same way as gold and silver. Hunting coins can be used for purchasing of cash shop items BUT are limited to only certain items such as durational costumes which last for 30 days (Permanent Costumes does not apply when using hunting coins, ). [Hunting coins can be obtained by selling your gold in auction house to other players (Yes, you are not seeing it wrong. Buyers used cash points to purchase gold from sellers, sellers do not get cash points for selling BUT hunting coins (pretty sad ikr). It can also be obtained from the levelling bag given by the game (total of 10800 hunting coins!!) or during events.
  9. 舞会银币(the direct translation seems weird) – Works the same way as the time attacking hunting ticket. You can use this to exchange for armor spheres, weapon spheres, costumes, also high grade jewel exchange ticket. [You can obtain this by participating in 舞会 event and also rewarded at the end of the event, every Sunday 11pm GMT+8, if your team manages to make it into the ranking board]

Happy Hunting!
