Skills and its effects

Hi, everyone! After the translation of the armour skills, some might wonder why there are ‘points’ on some armour. Today, I shall clarify your doubts and explain in depth what it all means. First of all, armour skills are only activated when you have accumulated at least 10 points of that particular skill. I shall take an example of HR bulldrome set (blademaster). According to the armour skills translation, bulldrome set has “Speed sharpener, Defense up (S), Max HP +6points, Psychic +6points and Hunger -7points.” Even though it shows 5 skills, only 2 are activated (speed sharpener and defense up (S) only!) Like I just mentioned, skills are only activated when there’s at least 10 points.

Speed sharpener has a total of 10points √ skill activated
Defense up has a total of 10points √ skill activated
Max HP has a total of 6points X skill not activated
Psychic has a total of 6points X skill not activated
Hunger has a total of -7points X skill not activated

After the breakdown of bulldrome set, we can conclude that even negative buffs such as increased hunger will not be activated so long it does not have a total of -10points!
Some armour skill effects can even be further enhanced by accumulating more points into them. Notice that by equipping the bulldrome set, you are granted a defense up (S). By adding 5 more points (15points now), you will then be granted defense up (M) which means you have an even more increased in defense for your character! Below are all the armour skills you will encounter (in both Chinese and English to make it easier to identify), and the additional effect it gives when you further increase the total points.

NOTENot all skills listed here are found in armour, some skills mentioned here can only be found through talisman or skills jewel which I will explain next time~ Also, some skills have different effects compared to other monster hunter series.

底力(Endurance)
+10: Endurance +1 (When HP is lower than 40%, defense increase)
+15: Endurance +2 (When HP is lower than 40%, defense and attack increase)
+20: Endurance +3 (When HP is lower than 40%, defense and attack increase even more)
+10: Endurance -1 (When HP is lower than 40%, defense and attack decrease)

逆境(Unyielding)
+10: Unyielding (Every incapacitation gives a boost of attack and defense, up to 2 times max)

斗魂(Fighting Spirit)
+10: Challenger (When the monster is in rage mode, attack increase)

强韧(Toughness)
+10: Toughness +1 (Reduced damage taken if you had taken damage within the last 10s)
+15: Toughness +2 (Reduced damage taken if you had taken damage within the last 15s)

无伤(Unscathed)
+10: Unscathed (Attack increase when HP full)

荷尔蒙(Attract)
+10: Attract (When there’s opposite gender in team, attack increase)

倒地之力(Stumbling Tactics)
+10: Stumbling Tactics (Monsters stumble more easily)

伏击(Ambush)
+10: Assassination +1 (When not being targeted by monsters, attack increase, however increased aggro)
+15: Assassination +2 (When not being targeted by monsters, attack increase higher, however increased aggro)

(Flute)
+10: Flute Expert (Buffs increased by 1min)

炮术(Artillery)
+10: Artillery Novice

    1. Not to sure what it does, as it is a new skill perhaps monster stays on the ground for a longer period when it is stun, for paralyze up, status att +1 is the skill you are looking for ^^

    2. Hi, as we know whenever we deal dmg on the head of monsters, there will be a hidden number increasing (eg 0/1200 and when this hidden number reaches 1200, the monsters will be KO). However, the number will drop slowly if there's no consistent dmg on the head. What stun locks does is to prevent the number from decreasing back. Hope it's clear~
